WHAT TO EXPECT

 
  •  Learn to ride on a genuine Harley-Davidson motorcycle
  • Get in-class and on-range instruction by instructors certified by the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF), and Harley-Davidson.
  • Learn basic skills like clutch-throttle control, shifting, turning, braking.
  • Advanced skills like cornering and swerving.
  • Earn a completion certificate that will allow you to get the Class M added to your driver’s license.
  • Earn a completion card that might score a discount on your insurance.

Can I complete my legal forms before class?

Yes.  Download the legal forms here.  Then complete and bring to class with you.  If you need a witness to sign pages 2 and 3 you can ask a participant during class.

Do I need a learner’s permit?
 
No.  This course is for people who’ve never ridden before, and also for those who have ridden but want their motorcycle license.

How old do I have to be?

Anyone old enough to have a driver’s license can get their motorcycle license.

What gear do I need?

  • DOT compliant helmet
  • Eye protection (visor or glasses)
  • Full-finger gloves
  • Jacket or long sleeve shirt
  • Long pants without rips
  • Sturdy over-the-ankle boots
What’s the eCourse?

A three-hour online class that you complete before your first in-person class.  Your course fee covers the cost, and you get a coupon code during your orientation with our manager.

What if I fail?

Your course fee includes two written and riding tests.  Most people who fall short pass the second time.

How tall do I need to be?

Riders 5’2″ or shorter should contact our manager to discuss and make a visit to the dealership to check out your fit before you pay for the course.

Can I get a refund?

There are no refunds if you don’t complete the course or fail.  With enough advance notice to fill your seat, our manager may offer you another class at a discounted rate on a case-by-case basis.
