Skilled Rider Concept: Counter-Steering & Cornering
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Practice on your own motorcycle
- No tests, just friendly coaching tips.
- Get on-range instruction from RiderCoaches certified by the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) and Harley-Davidson.
- Practice skills including weaves, tight turns and u turns, emergency braking, cornering, and swerving.
- Earn a completion certificate which may score a discount on your insurance.
WHETHER YOU NEED TO BOND WITH YOUR NEW BIKE OR GET REACQUAINTED WITH YOUR OLD ONE…THIS IS THE COURSE FOR YOU.
FAQs
What do I need for class?
Your personally owned motorcycle, proof of insurance, license, and registration.
What gear do I need?
The same gear as the New Rider Course.
- A DOT compliant helmet.
- Eye protection (visor or glasses).
- Full-finger gloves.
- Jacket or long sleeve shirt.
- Long pants without rips.
- Sturdy over-the-ankle boots.
How much skill do I need?
If you’ve been riding on the street for a year or more then you will likely be successful.
I know how to ride. Can I get my license in this class?
No. We only provide the skill practice course for skilled riders. Experienced riders who need a license should take the New Rider Course–many do and they have a great time.
